Search box not working

0 votes
Hello, I'm having an issue with the search box in CV3. When adding new items I'm unable to search for a catergory... when trying to delete items, I'm unable to search for the item to delete it. Anytime I enter anything into the search box (item # or search term) and press enter, either nothing happens or I get kicked out of that particular screen.

This may be due to an internet setting on my computer and not a CV3 issue but I just thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has experienced the same problem & has any possible solutions.

Thank you!

Can you give me a step-by-step example? Also, what browser are you using?

Yes, thank you. I'm using Firefox. For example, when I go to:

Inventory --> Product Search --> then click the "Delete Product" link at the top of the page, my problem is with the search option on the very next page:

"Search items to Delete Below"

I'm not getting any results when I enter my search terms in that box and press enter. I know the items exist and my coworkers are not having issues on their machines. That's why I think it may be a setting on my computer. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your response.
Also, my other example is when adding new products I go to:

Inventory --> Product Search --> click the "Add Product" link then when I go to:

Product Display --> Categories

It's the same search field...and I'm unable to search for the category that I need to add.

Thank you.
I am using Firefox as well, and I was able to do both of the above actions with no issue. Since other people in your office are not having the problem either, the issue is definitely something on your computer. You could try making sure that you have the latest version of Firefox installed: http://www.getfirefox.com - you could also try going to Tools > Options > click on the Content tab and make sure Enable Javascript is checked.
Thank you very much for your quick responses and suggestions. I made sure Javascript was enabled and have the latest version of Firefox so I'm passing my notes on to our IT person for more troubleshooting.

Thanks again!
