Suppress Out of Stock Products on Category Page

July 17, 2012 by Commerce V3 Support

The CommerceV3 software has been updated to now allow you to suppress out of stock products to the bottom of the category page.

Settings > Options > Display Options > Catalog Options > Would you like to push out of stock items to the end of category listings? and setting it to Yes.

Then, if a product is set to Out of Stock, or if Inventory Control is on and a product has 0 inventory and 0 on order, the product will be pushed to the end of the category listing.

The example listed above has the cookie tin at the end of the list and it has no inventory.

It is not required to have the inventory control turned on for the site in order to utilize the new functionality.
